We believe that every wine should tell a story—the story of its variety, production, aging, winemaking, the rains, the sun, and the land. The blessed and renowned land of Zitsa, Ioannina, gifts us with some of the finest Greek wines. This is why we have chosen to follow the less-traveled path, one that honors tradition while embracing a harmonious collaboration with modern technology.
Description
Deep ruby red.
Intensely aromatic with dominant notes of red fruits and spices, such as licorice, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Full-bodied and well-balanced, with high-quality tannins. Its distinctive flavor and lingering finish are shaped by both barrel aging and the presence of dried red fruits, cherry, spice nuances, enriched vanilla, and coconut.
After destemming, the grape pulp remains in a tank at a low temperature (8° – 10°C) for 3-4 days. The temperature is then increased to initiate fermentation. Each grape variety is vinified separately. The wine is then aged for one year in oak barrels, primarily new barrels, enhancing its depth and complexity.
Best served at 16° - 18°C (room temperature).
