Petit Four means “small oven,” because there, in the “afterglow” of a big batch, just before the strong fire died down, French chefs, pastry chefs, and bakers would bake snacks and desserts to make use of the residual heat. Our Petit Fours are baked at the perfect temperature and have become very beloved. That’s why they became part of the Grateful Bakers collection alongside our classic and favorite cookies.
